When we make new year's resolutions, we kind of know going in that it will take some effort. So when the discomfort does set in, that's when we are at risk for not sticking to our resolution or even for giving up altogether. And so what a lot of people miss in setting their resolutions is a firm plano. There's an old saying that a goal without a plan is just a wish. And wishes don't get the job done.
