Are You Leaving Your Parents? Or Are You Going to Lose Yours?

i have found myself thinking a lot about not just the four year estrangement that urred between myself and my father before he was diagnosed with cancer, but actually just his general absence in mine and my brother's life. Ye, there were times when he was there in our early years but he let us down. And i i, one of the things that i think that i see people do is we rightly recognized the truth of what was going on. So we can acknowledge all of that without denying how painful that must have been for that little kid.
