The Romantic Era in Music

To pretend that Beethoven somehow was just going to go down as the greatest composer is ridiculous. If you walked up to Beethoven and acted like he was some virtuoso composer he would he could play piano very well. He wasn't trying to write stuff that blew anyone's mind. This romantic thing hit all art around the same time. Everyone was getting in their feelings like a bunch of histrionic teenagers. Emo music is the original music. This is emo for the ruling class. That's romantic music.
