Is the SEC Proposing to Adopt a Best Execution Rule?
The SEC is proposing to adopt its own best execution rule. FINRA has such a rule currently, which has been in existence for a long time. The argument would be that the concept around best execution is such a fundamental part of protection for individual investors. It needs to have its own rule so that it can enforce its own rule.
