How Is Sleep Regulated?
The homeostatic sleep drive is an internal drive to sleep, which graduall increases the longer you are awake. That leads to an inhibition of neurons or nuclei that would promote wakefulness when we're asleep. Cicadian rhythms regulate bodily functions on roughly a daily time span. Is also reated to production of hall mones and digestion in the amune system.
