Are You Collecting CO2 in Your Training Mask?

Do you get increased red blood cells or EPO or, you know, hematocrit when you use a training mask? I don't know that it necessarily happens or it doesn't. But the interesting thing here is that as asthmatics start by being very CO2 intolerant. That then creates an acidity and literally an, an autoimmune response which can go into a lot of other things. And what we do with breath hold work is we're trying to make somebody more CO2 tolerant so they can last longer on breath hold stuff.
