Acute Stress Is a Deeper Problem Than Chronic Stress

The brain is designed to categorize things, and so we can develop a greater understanding of complex ideas by categorizing things across two different, essentially variables. Acute stress is just something that is once off. It's temporary and there's an end in sight. But chronic stress is a bigger issue across our lives. That's the nagging financial worries that you might have if you find difficult to make things work at the end of each pay check. The constant stress from a maybe a toxic relationship in your life that you can't see a way out of.
