How to Build a Curious Team When Something Is Already Broken

I assume that someone would call you in to start a coaching process or workshops on team building when something is actually already broken. How do you get them back into the state of curiosity where they even open to look at someone's personality type and develop empathy for, oh, maybe it wasn't about me. Maybe it's just the way they communicate. I find most people are really eager to tell the team what they want or need. And then that kind of opens the door that then they're more willing to hear whether other team members want or need to.
