Batching the Little Things
The eighth and ninth rules are both about wasting less time to batch the little things. Small tasks can seem to take over all our time maybe it's filling out a form that hr has sent you responding to an invitation to something that's not urgent paying bills or what just all these small things can kind of weigh on you. You pull yourself away from these things where it didn't really have to happen but it gives you the satisfaction of crossing something off the list. Often the really big things that we need to wrestle with are more difficult and don't give the obvious satisfaction of crossing stuff off the list so i want people to struggle a little bit more in their work.
