How to Increase IQs With Direct Instruction

direct instruction is shown to increase IQs among people with really low IQ because maybe it's also giving them the habits that would be used by people typically with higher IQ. Maybe there's something going on there. Gradual refinement from many repetitions: this is called mass practice or blocked practice. This is based on a certain kind of like reduction in the amount of time you spent studying, so don't study until you're likely to have forgotten something. If you want to over learn something and you want something to be automatic, then you need to keep on practicing that thing until it is automatic. So that takes a large number of repetitions.
