Getting More Fit for Race Course Specificity

In training, the biggest focus is to just improve your fitness. You can't incorporate things like star steppers or inclined treadmills that are gong to help out with that uphill portion of those races. The downhill running is actually what's going to be the hardest thing to mimic without actually having the downhill aspect. And being able to get on something lik an inclined treadmill or a stair stepper and just grind up for a significant amount of time can better replicate what you may be doing if you have very long, relatively steep climbs over and over again.
