So much of the eye is made out of collagen. Is there any evidence that people who adhere to a more Mediterranean-style diet have, you know, a decelerated rate of cataract and macular degeneration? We don't know because if you consume collagen, it's made out of amino acids. When you consume it, your body's going to break it down. So I don't think it's bad but whether it directly helps with eye health or not, I'm not sure.
