Ultra Running

The most talented runner in the field, you know, may not win races in ultra running. I very much view myself as somebody who is not one of the most talented people in the field but who's been able to do certain things in the sport just based on hard work and sometimes having discipline and being a competitor. But I am also terrible with things like delayed gratification and doing some of the basics and maintaining focus on the basics year round. So I spend more time speaking with my psychologist than I do having treatment from soft tissue or physio.
