Is There a Need for Long Interval Training?

In gene m when i'm having athletes do their really hard stuff, they're doing sort of a two minute interval to start with. But in my rience, it doesn't take a lot of that kind of training. And then you have your work that you can do right around critical power or critical speed. Theres a ms measure of error around all these things. It's an infinitely thin line that measures threshold. If you're two wats above it, your physiological response is way different than if you are two wats below it. There's a band e tainty there.
