Is Enlightenment for Cant?

John Callanan: Can you be free while still being held in society's eyes as a slave? He says cant is talking about freedom in the sense of making, making a choice. Enlightenment is taking on the responsibility for yourself, he writes. You can't except a moral values from some other external system. They have to come through your own reasoning process and setting up the law for yourself. We will be bound by no law but the law that you've set up for yourself.
