I think it's very important to look beyond the hype and rhetoric with which these succeeding liberal great powers your country before mine have ruled the world. And I actually think that market freedom can make a big contribution to human welfare, although the growth that involves can devastate the planet as we now know. Whoever is going to lead the world needs to find an economic model that exploits the potential of markets but also understands the importance of their constraining them.
