Super mario world is the most downloaded super nintendo game today, according to a survey of rom sites. It's one of at least two titles in Japan that were all played by players when it was released. The game has been described as "tinkering" with current consoles and old ones. Nintendo seems to oscillate between these kind of like experimental moments and then some kind of safer they're rounding off the edges kind of moments.
