As Visa retires its Visa Fraud Monitoring Program (VFMP) and Visa Dispute Monitoring Program (VDMP) by April 2025, the new VAMP initiative introduces a more rigorous framework for managing fraud and disputes.
Effective January 2026, tighter chargeback thresholds will be in place, and acquirers will face greater scrutiny and potential fee increases.
