Slow Down on Your Easy Runs
Lactate build up is the ya. You get to burn the glacagen, but you get the lactate and some hydrogen ions in return. And that is what actually becomes a problem. Once you hit that saturation at your lacte threshold, where it's more than four millmoles leader of lactate in your blood, ah, your body just can't shuttle the lactate quick enough. It can't recycle it to use energy. The slower you go, the less carbohydrates you need - although they still are very important.
