The Relationship Between CPP Opt and Brain Tissue Oxygenation

The CPP opt thing, you know, has been around for 25 years. Why haven't we done a randomized control trial? And in fact, that has just started to happen. In practice, CPP opt is difficult to calculate because arterial blood pressures are all over the place. So there's an inherent noisiness to ICP and an inherentNoisiness to map. That makes CPP opt and PRX quite noisy parameters. The closer you are to CPP opt, the more likely you are to be in a zone of safety for brain tissue oxygenation.
