Addressing Racism in Nursing and Hospital Integration

This chapter explores the historical obstacles encountered by Black nurses due to systemic racism and their vital roles in healthcare crises. It also examines the creation of the Imhotep National Conference on Hospital Integration and significant legislative changes that aimed to eliminate hospital segregation and promote equity in the healthcare system.
