The Importance of Calories

We don't quite understand the energy density of foods. Food labels and menus can by law be 10, 20, 30% off. Even if you're scanning everything you eat into my fitness pal it still might not necessarily be accurate. There's a lot of discrepancies between what we put in and what the body actually burns. And that's where that concept of calorie, stress, calorie isn't quite as accurate or as easy as what it sounds.
