"It makes me think maybe I've always been a little under recovered in the past," he says. "When you feel great and you get hurt on something that's not even necessarily like the peak weight or, or, you know, anything you'd expect ... it was an uncomfortable reminder of how we're not in full control." He hopes his story can inspire others to be better prepared for their own competitions.
