A man confesses to a crime he committed at 18, reflecting on his unintended actions and the emotional turmoil of keeping it a secret for years. The chapter follows his journey through legal proceedings, including sentencing and clemency application, culminating in the anticipation and uncertainty of facing the parole board for potential release.

When we last spoke with Trevell Coleman, he was waiting to hear back about his clemency application. And then, in December of last year, his lawyer got a phone call.
