The Twister or the Scrambler
Maxim's fly captive flying machine was designed to inspire and excite the public about the potential of powered flight. The one ride that excites me the most is called the Twister or the Scrambler, which celebrates its 80th anniversary this year. In his patent he talks about the relationship between the mechanical gearing of that ride and the emotional effect he thinks it's going to have on his passengers. And it's this ride that I'm interested in developing virtual reality experiences for because there are lots of these rides around.
