When we're talking about the vagus nerve, it wanders literally all through our viscera, our chest, our vocal cords, our ears, our face. And it's picking up information from our body, bottom. But when I am under threat, like if I begin to feel you upset with me or something, these are more realistic ways that this actually happens. The top of my brain begins to go offline. We get more and more primitive, the more danger that we feel. Our choices constrict, our information that's coming in constricts. That's also a bottom up.
