The Importance of Deliberate Practice
We work longer because it's easier to do that rather than reflect and change our ways. Charles Darwin, he worked five hours a day, didn't stop him from coming up with one of the most groundbreaking theories of all time. Once you get beyond four hours a day of deliberate practice, your cognition tapers off very quickly. And I think that's something that's really key to double click on as Shane Parrish likes to say diminishing returns.
