Dr. John Sutter: We didn't earn the right to die of chronic diseases back then because we didn't live long enough on average to have them. Modernity has brought great things with it, he says, but at a cost. He argues that our ability to live longer and be more exposed to these things render us more susceptible to chronic disease. Dr. Sutter: I think there's plenty of evidence that our current environment is also exacerbating the problem.
What’s the maximum human lifespan? Neil deGrasse Tyson and co-hosts Chuck Nice and Gary O’Reilly explore how to extend your longevity, the history of medicine, and how we can live better with author of Outlive: The Science & Art of Longevity, Dr. Peter Attia.
