In 1992, 13 states passed veggie libel laws specifically to protect agricultural producers from defamatory claims. These laws go by various names including banana bills or sirloin slander. The other big thing about this is that right now, if Gwyneth Paltrow sues us for libel, she has to prove that our claims were false. Under the veggie libel Laws, we would have to prove that they're true.
