Leadership's role is to help resolve the inherent conflict that arises from the pursuit of these optimization. No metric is going to be perfect, right? These conflict will always exist. When you send them on a mission with the objective, they're always going to go slightly awry. And yes, I think definitely there needs to be a violence between sort of big swings and optimization.
