Do You Think About a White Bear?
If i'm experiencing something bad, can i purposely distract myself not to feel something bad? Yes. But it depends on how you approach distracting herself. Distracting yourself may work, like, i'm just going to look over here. Ben Sodon: How do we orient our attention so that when it is in challenging circumstances, it's still able to function well? We know the things that don't work. So suppressing it is not a great idea.
