Albert Hirschman was an economist who worked for the liberal economists. His most famous book is, its exit, voice and loyalty n which is a study of how people respond when organizations are how you express displeasure from them. In this episode he looks at patterns in conservative rhetoric that appear again and again over time. He also engages in a parallel argument about progressive rhetoric - those on the left tend to argue about their ambitions and aims and programmes.
