Putting Characters at Risk

They discuss the idea of putting characters at significant risk in order to create tension and shake up the game. They give an example of a character being pulled into a treasure chest by a pseudopod and being on the verge of being bitten in half. They explain that by letting the other characters know the danger and giving them a chance to intervene, it adds a sense of urgency and forces the players to think on their feet.
