EEG Brain Monitoring - A Ride That Allows You to Ride Your Own Brain Data
The ride was funded by Nesta, a company that specialises in virtual reality. The rider would climb to the top of this podium and put on an EEG brain monitoring cap. We'd gather their brain data live and wirelessly before projecting it onto them through a VR headset. They were making choices about the world that was emerging in front of them - which included music they were listening to. It was a massive spectacle, a celebration to brain monitoring. But there was something simpler going on here which resonated with something I'd read. A psychological review from 1895 reviewed a thrill ride called 'the haunted swing' That's when some people reported feeling gondness in the riders.
