Meditation - Is Your Mind Just Shutting Off?

If you are someone who meditates, I think you're a testament to yourself then you're your own proof that it's really noisy. It takes a long time to really settle into that silence and to be still. The second we mentioned sitting meditation, you don't have to begin a consciousness practice in a meditation at all. Use the thing that feels safest. Go into nature if that's the place where your consciousness feels most alive naturally. We definitely don't want to overwhelm ourselves.
