The Viral Cycle of Poor Sleep
Leptin is a powerful driver of voluntary physical activity in the brain. When leptin is low after a bad night's sleep, you're much more likely to sit on your arse all day long and not do any type of workout or go to the gym. Then you're less able to handle the stresses of the day's events because exercise is a great stress buster. You're more likely to come home of an evening and soothe your stress or anxiety with shit food or alcohol which impacts your sleep that night. And then it's ground top day, right? I mean, it really is, it's, it's,. it's this vicious cycle.
