The heel strike method gives you an extra unnecessary movement in running. The other way is to eliminate that extra movement, the ball of your foot comes down and a spring action actually happens,. And then there's a more immediate return of energy. So it makes sense why so many people, one of my close friends, just had the surgery. They had to take a tendon from another part of her body and replace her Achilles tendon because she's addicted to running. She ran her Achilles tendon into oblivion. That's what you say now until they become our overlords.
