Is Open Access a Panacea?
Reproducibility, one major issue that you just cite there, is indeed, viewed from many different angles, not not an issue. And also then sometimes very much an issue. One of the reasons, a main reason, i would say, that we launched retraction watch was because of a a brilliant bit of reporting that adam did before retraction watch about someone named scott reuben who made up all the data in his clinical trials. A adand, by the way, just to remind everyone, science is very much a human endeavor. It doesn't exist outside of a, you know, humans doing it.
