The Importance of D Ribose as a Supplement

D ribose is a five carbon sugar and it's completely safe to consume even for a diabetic. It has no impact to blood sugar in the sense of blood glucose. Even though part bodies produce D ribose on its own, it's a very, very slow process. So this sets up something called reperfusion injury where we actually see an incredible amount of cell death and damage after blood flow is restored. And one of the ways to get around that is to supply the body with the adenosine or deribals so it can actually produce that adenosine molecule.
