The Importance of a Good Dietary Protein Meal

"I like to see my patients having a first meal of the day earlier on maybe 90 minutes to two hours after waking 45 to 50 grams of dietary protein. And then for my patients, depending on what they need, I don't care so much about that middle meal," he says. "Can you do in a 35-year-old who's eating 150 grams of protein per day, would you be able to detect a body composition difference within a month just by how their first meal was? I don't think you'd ever detect it."
