How Long Should a One-on-One Be Scheduled For?

How long should a typical one-on-one be scheduled for? That's a good question. I think they go between 30 minutes to an hour normally, depending on what the relationship is and what is the job of your direct report. Ideally, it should be every week - sometimes you can't do that because of other scheduling constraints so you could do every other week.
