Functional Training Is a Perfect Reservoir for Human Laziness

The problem with functional training is that it is a perfect reservoir for human laziness. The guys don't want to learn things they don't know, and the kids are perfectly happy doing less instead of more. And if you are firmly convinced that a Bulgarian split squat is preferable to a 700 pound deadlift then you will never learn how to coach the deadlift. Because you don't have to. Meanwhile, your injury list goes up and up and up as ACL surgeries become more and more prominent. You know, everybody, no one benefits. It's lazy, straight coaches.
