Originally they used that classic to dumb sound to start the films, just like they would normally do with the shows on their streaming side. Netflix needed something new for the theater, but that still sounded like Netflix. Hans Zimmer is a legend who's composed film scores for movies like The Lion King, Pirates of the Caribbean and Inception.
