Nietzsche's War Is the Sleep or Winter Time of Culture
Sally Kohn: In some sense the progressive of today has become a conservative to the extent that his values map rather neatly onto the zeitgeist of society and where it's clearly headed. She says Nietzsche inhabits both those positions, whereas here in the middle period he's like an enlightenment realist, a type of progressive conservative. And then in his later period he's someone who says, bring on the violent change because we've run a stray of life. Right? Anyway, we'll move on.
