A big shift in my teaching over the last few years has been trying to come up with these high value activity structures that I can use again and again. It becomes more problematic, doesn't it, if you're using kind of a one-off task where you're only going to be using it kind of once. And then you get into a whole kinds of trouble because you've then got to explain the task,. Then the kids havegot to think about the task and so on. If you do lower the content demands initially, it becomes an investment because you know you're going to be reaping the world's light if that makes sense.
