Exploring the Cohesion Effect in Expedition Teams
Students from a school in the south of England took part in an expedition. They formed five teams and went on 20 day-long trekking expeditions. The researchers found that cohesion was consistently associated with daily perceptions of performance. When team members perceived that they'd done well and achieved goals, they reported higher cohesion.
