The more we actually get in touch with the vulnerability in us, the more there's a natural compassion that arises. And when we become intentional about remembering love, that tenderness becomes a powerful, cheering force. The reason it's so important are suffering from comes from separation that we have forgotten our belonging. Trauma means cut off, disconnected. When we're having a hard time, we're disconnected from ourselves in some way turned on ourselves or feeling disconnected from others.
