Teacher Professional Development - A Critical Review
i-Report: Identifying the characteristics of effective teacher professional development, a critical review. The average across which country, spends about ten days a year on professional development,. broadly defined. Draws on external experts as a pot that essentially meaning somebody from outside the school comes in to help. Then practice based, which usually means that there's some element of class room practice involved, as opposed to just theory. And over time, these reviews had kind of built on each other, and our later reviews were kind of referencing and using the conceptual frameworks roughly along the lines of the six components that ae just set out.
