Inanna, the great goddess, arrives naked, unadorned into the depths of the underworld. The holy work in the upper world is to accumulate adornments and let them go. To see her adornments as ego that needs to be shed would be too simple. Both are equally important. There's a philosophical tension here, right between adorn and unadorned.
