Systemics are a form of pesticide or herbicide that instead of a contact solution as sulfur is where it hits the powdery or downy mildew if it's copper and it destroys it that way. Systemic pesticides or herbicides will be taken into the plant and they'll stay in the tissue. And so they're effective for much longer. They're also effective even after it rains. And this is the argument towards using systemics in very marginal climates.
